Hello people! My name is Aaron Fowlow. I'm a born and raised Newfoundlander; proud of where I come from, just one of those guys. I developed a keen sense for music not early in life, but in my later high school years. Since those years, I have formed many bands, or sang with church worship teams, or lead youth group worship music teams. I've never taken vocal lessons; I just wanted to hone my talent naturally. Singing is one of the biggest passions in my life after music itself. I've been writing songs for the past 10 years, and some were used in various little rock bands I had formed with friends, some had never been sung before until now. But with performing on stage, came the desire to one day go into a studio, and record an album of my own song. Now, this dream has truly arrived.
Since my high school years, I have developed a liking for such bands as U2, Creed, Collective Soul, Disciple, P.O.D, and many others, but these are the bands that have most influenced me lyrically, and musically. For some of these bands, if you are familiar with them, you will probably recognize where some inspiration comes from for my vocal style, my musical style, and lyrical style. I can't play a guitar, and I'm totally fine with that. My instrument is my body, my soul, my mind, and my lips. With my body, I show what I am feeling, with my soul, I feel what I am making with my mind, and with my mind I create what I can share with my lips. This is how I express myself, and share myself. Not everyone would care to share or take in what I have to express, but if one or two would listen, I will be happy.
My debut album titled "Please Send The Light" is themed around living in darkness, longing for the light. On the album cover, you see a shadowy silhouette of myself, in darkness, with eyes closed. It is an expression of how sometimes I am living in darkness, but long for the light. It is this that I am sure many people can relate to. But as you look through the album, you will see inside a symbol of hope, a cross, a robe, a heart, and a crown of thorns, and in the midst of it's background, is a glow of light. This to me stands for what I have always longed for; freedom. A message of hope, of a Savior who took it upon Himself to die for the sake of mankind, and to free the world from darkness. That is the hope that I share in this album, that is the hope which I long to embody. And this album is not all about light and darkness, but also about my personal life trials and triumphs. Hopefully there are others who too can relate to what I have written, and sung throughout this album.
But hey, welcome to my website. I hope you enjoy it, and with all of the things that are here now, or are coming soon, I am glad to share it with you all. God bless you all, and keep on rockin!
